Houston- Your Ultimate Touristic destination this Winter

No doubt a trip to Houston will persuade you to get here every year. There are many great places to visit but let me highlight few of them:
Dickinson Festival of Lights: In Paul Hopkins Park you would be amused to see various colorful lights. The festival is held every year and the best part is that there is no entry fee. Beside the fun of walking through these lights your kids may decorate their cookies as they wish.
Moody Gardens Festival of Lights: The largest lighting event in the entire gulf coast and is a must visit place where animated displays are performed using millions of lights. Well this place is not only for light shows but in fact you may shop at gift market, do outdoor skating, watch 3-D holiday movies and much more.
Holiday time at Bayou Bend: It’s a place which is sort of a museum of culture it shows how the holiday has been celebrated in the last 250 years here. A massive garden is full of decoration and greenery, while inside the house you may be delighted to listen to music and participate in ornament making, carolers, and workshops, or just discover the traditional way of Americans spending holidays in the last 250 years. You shall be welcomed by colorful lights and may experience the tour in candle light at night.
Discovery Green: Among numerous other attractions and landmarks, this 12 acre icy park attracts 100,000 visitors each year. Normally from thanksgiving to the end of January it’s a peak season. Either enjoy skating on over 7200 square feet of ice or watch experts performing ice skating. Other than that many exhibitions and events are held to boast the excitement in visitors.
Traditional Village: 100+ acre bargain market titles it as the largest open-air market in Texas. These days everything is getting expensive so come to traditional market and avail cheap products ranging from food to holiday gifts. To assure fun-full atmosphere live music, face painting, piƱatas, games and Santa is waiting for you.
Shopping: Without shopping the trip always seem incomplete, so yes you could find extensive brands products at enormous sales in winter holidays. After the New Year they wish to replenish new stock so they try to sale entire stock of current year by launching tempting promotions like 70% off, Buy 1 get 1 free or clearance sale etc. Believe me these are not the low-quality products that they put on sale but these are high quality products, and that is why malls are crowded by wise shoppers in every winter holidays. Although there are many malls, I’m going to name few: Houston Premium Outlets, American Apparel, The Galleria, and Memorial City Mall.
All the above mentioned exciting places are just the glimpse of excitement that exist in Houston winter holidays, but the real fun shall be when you come up with your family to spend your holidays at Houston in winters. By the way, it doesn’t mean summers are dull over here! actually its energetic throughout the year.
